The Pittsburgh Technology Council announced the winners of the 18th annual Tech 50 awards during a gala ceremony at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh, Downtown, Tuesday night. Winners were chosen from an independent panel of Tech Council judges with reviews by member organization and event sponsors. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is an event sponsor.
“After almost 20 years, Tech 50 continues to be the only night in Pittsburgh dedicated to our fast-growing, technology sector,” said Audrey Russo, president and CEO of the council in a news release. “Our regional tech titans represent transformative technology centers of excellence and this year the bar was raised on innovation. We look forward to seeing what the next 20 years brings.”
The 2014 Tech 50 winners were:
Solution Provider of the Year: First Insight Inc.
Advanced Manufacturer of the Year: Universal Electric Corp.
CEO of the Year: Kraig McEwen, Aesynt
Ed Tech Company of the Year: Panther Learning Systems, Inc.
Interactive and Application Developer of the Year: Schell Games
Innovator of the Year: Rhiza
Life Sciences Company of the Year: Aesynt
Start-Up of the Year: NoWait
