Coronavirus: Consumer Views on Safety As Stores Reopen
After months of store closures and stay-at-home orders, states nationwide are strategizing on the best way to reopen the country while protecting against further Coronavirus spread. However, safety is not only top of mind for government officials. U.S. consumers are also considering safety as they prepare to emerge from lockdown.
We asked U.S. consumers on April 20, 2020 various questions regarding safety in different retail settings and unveiled consumer sentiment around feelings of safety when visiting several store formats as well as their willingness to wear masks or gloves provided by stores.

Methodology:
First Insight’s findings are based on the results of a U.S. consumer study of a targeted sample of more than 500 respondents balanced by gender, geography and generation, fielded on April 20, 2020. The study was completed through proprietary sample sources among panels who participate in online surveys.
